Very very little care at all, about once every few weeks i remove older dying leaves (about the size of 10p piece. And once in a while just trim the root length. No ferts, just plain old light

Glad you received you plants today and they made it there ok. The roots can get very long and i do try to keep them about 6" or so long by just cutting them like you have,The constantly moving around is ok as mine done the same until the top of the tank was totally covered and they had no room...

I posted them yesterday so they should have been with you today, If you don't get them tomorrow i will send some more out.

Thanks for all the replys gents. I'm not looking to breed wild type guppys, but rather keep them for my pleasure, just a shame that it looks like i have a contaminated blood line. I would ideally like to keep a pure wild guppy, but it seems a shame to kull my fish because they are not pure...

Pritty much as the title says, I purchased 3 pairs of wild guppies a few month ago, the 3 females where all carrying fry and looked rather large within a few days the first gave birth to 1 fry and died while i was at work but the other 2 females gave birth a few weeks later no problems...

Well i woke this morning to find 3 fry all swimming about my quaratine tank, the female i think is the mother is still lying on the bottom of the tank looking very fat. I was hopefull i would be able to move them into there home before they spawned but nevermind.

So how many wild strain/colour variations are there, I'm totally smitten with the wild type guppys and what some diffrent colour variants.

I would only buy new, becuase like has been said you just don't know how it's been treated. Plus you can get new filters fluval 304/405 or the EX1200 which are both great filters for less than £80 online with media.

I was never interested in guppys i had seen in LFS, but seen some endlers and was wow the colours, so tried to source some good quality endlers, but then i found wild guppies There is some amazing wild guppys just a shame they tend to be feeder fish and are rather hard to track down in the UK.
