So I just come home there to find my angelfish laying eggs and the other one fertilising them!! They are still going at the minute and theres loads of eggs!! At the minute the female is constantly laying eggs meanwhile the male often comes to fertilise them and then guards them by violently...

ok thanks for your replies :) i am gonna pick most of them out and leave the eggs in my fish dont eat them :/ lol and them pick them out when i see them... prob the kindest method lol i wish my fish would eat them though lol thanks again

ok i dont mind them but with the amount of eggs i will defo be overrun lol i was looking on the internet and there is some stuff you can get medication that you put on the plants to get rid of the eggs so will have to get some tomorrow lol thank you :)

ok so i got some plants about two months ago and about one month ago one snail appeared and now there is loads!! i got my filter out to clean it today and its covered in loads of blobs of eggs aswell as my large helicopter and plants is there any thing i can buy that will get rid of them because...

So the swordtail had her last batch of fry on 21st may and every fry successfully survived apart from the odd couple which were eaten in the trap by the mother anyway she was hiding in the plants and looking strange so i put her in the trap ready for the next batch ... theres angelfish in the...

Tanks been set up for six months ... and the water was fine when i took a water sample in to the pet store ... i havent got a test kit but will get one asap but i have a feeling he wont last much longer although the other fish are fine ... so i dont know if it is the water ... and the discus...

i have noticed today that my blue turq discus has been acting strange and now it is on its side at deaths door :( i dont know what to do will i be able to save him?? ive done a water change and no improvement id do anything to save this fish :( :( thanks in advance I do water changes every...

Thanks and I will hopefully get a couple more discus soon lol and my discus are eating a variety of bloodworms , turkey heart , flakes and pellets - hopefully enough!! lol

The tank is all complete :) I bought three discus on tuesday and they are settled in well with the angels! I got a blue turq which is quite large and two smaller blue and red discus (dont know the name)! lol They are quite shy though so will they build confidence in time or will I have to buy...

Welcome ... your fish will thrive a lot in a much bigger tank and if you are getting the 55gal it will be perfect for them :)
