Please? I thought some sort of fungus, but it's not like hairy. My other fish are fine.

I got this wee fellow (and another) on the 31st August. Last week the other died, it appeared for no reason! I thought maybe the other one attacked it? Over the last week or so I've noticed this weird 'thing' on it's face.. any idea what it could be?? Thanks
