well the rainbow shark died today.... it was fine yesterday and then today I noticed he didn't come out to eat his breakfast, but he was still alive under the log, I came home from work at 4:30 and it was still alive but hiding away and then I did a water change in preparation for the white spot...

I've read that Interpet white spot plus can be used safely with shrimp, I might give this a go.

I have two male red dwarf gourami, one is big and healthy, the other is small and scraggy - it was smaller when I got it home from the petshop and its tail was a bit scraggy but I thought it will get better soon, however it hasn't - the big gourami chases it everywhere and now it just hides...

when I feed all of the fish, the tetras seem to get all the food and steal it from the gouramis because they spit it out and suck it back in and the tetras get it :S

how often do I have to feed them, cos the guy in the shop said one time every 2 days....but the tub of food says 2 or 3 times per day and the fish always seem really hungry when I feed them.

Hmmm i'm so confused as to what to get next then haha, there doesn't seem to be much to choose from - how would another group of different tetras be?

I just baught 5 neon tetras today, I think there are two female and 3 male, however one of the males seems left out from the other 4 and will just sit alone in a rock or swim around in the tank on his own sometimes joining the rest but not for long, I'm pretty sure its the same one all the time...

I saw some pearl danios I liked the look of and was wondering if when I turn the neon blue lamp on my tank it would make them glow like in a disco? As for bottom feeders I was thinking about a golden algae eater?

The gurami seem alright with each other at the moment, one seems more dominant than the other but I can't get back to the pet shop until next week but it will be too late by then haha but they seem to have set up bases on opposite sides of the tank so they dont bother each other too much, and...

I don't really like the look of corrys, I want something a bit more colourful, how about a couple of guppys and maybe 5 danios? Also I like the look of clown loaches, how are they for my tank?

I'm thinking of getting one more small shoal, I saw some red nose tetras today which looked really nice, and then maybe a guppy or two and a bottom feeder of some sort since I don't know if a betta is a good idea - although I saw one in a pet shop today with some neon tetras.

yeh the test results show that the tank is fully cycled as everything is reading fine - I might have added them a bit quickly afterwards but the gurammis seemed really boring and I'm impatient haha but I'll see how they go hehe
