Not put up a photo yet so here you go! The rock was bought for me as a present, i cant decide which way to have it and how to arrange things around it hmmm...Its really nice rock though, its got little tunnels within it 1 of my kuhli loach made a home in there already i think :lol:

He was one of my first fish, and has always swam about like he owns the tank, but recently has started chasing my danios and mollys, hasnt nipped any fins atall just seems to randomly chase them about. Is this anything to worry about or will it calm down? Dont want to have to get rid of him hes...

Changing gravel to sand though, surely that would kick up loads of stuff? I have some loach and a plec they would be terrified if i take out their little hiding places! :-(

Thanks mate. What did you do with your fish whilst you did that? Can you buy plants ready grown or is it advisable to grow them yourself? Worried about harming any fish in the process :unsure:

recently used direct tropicals and fish arrived very quickly and healthy enough

Cant get a photo, my phone smashed to bits yesterday :angry: i think i can see the eyes though, and saw the white circle on the underside earlier (although it seems to have faded slight in the last hour or so). Is trial and error i guess :rolleyes:

im pretty sure she is pregnant, but just not sure how far along, definately had a big belly when i got her. put in a breeding trap now so we shall see

I think ive got a pregnant one as well. Not sure what to do with her though, i have a breeding net i can put in although i dont want to stress her out/seperate her too soon, and i have no idea when shes going to go pop!

i know nothing as im a bit of a noob, but surely doing water changes like once, twice, three times a week or whatever will be detrimental to the fish? Wouldnt the water stats be constantly fluctuating? I do it once every 2weeks/10days at the most which seems to keep the stats well in line with...

This fish For my 120L tank? I have 2 angelfish, 6danios, 1bn plec and 2 clown loach. Really like the look of these! if they are not suitable are there any other fish with similar or other crazy colours? Cheers

think i have the same problem, i thought i didnt have the light on enough though :blink: is it a yellowy brown algae? some of my danios are also turning a shade of yellow on their fins :crazy:

Ive got this yellow stain on my pebbles, i havnt changed anything and it has been fine untill now. Only thing i can think of is some new food i got my clown loaches which are a browny yellow colour? But surely this wouldnt stain the pebbles? Any ideas? Cheers

Going to lfs today to get some more fish :hyper: any recommendations on what i should get? I have a 3ft 120L tank and currently only have a bristlenose plec and 2 angelfish. I was looking to get 5 of something and 5 of something else. Any recommendations? I like bright colours!

Came home just now and flicked the tank light on and my plec scuttled under his rock and this really thin strand (what looked like thin cotton wool or spiders webb with little white specs in it) floated out and landed elsewhere. Ive only had the angelfish a couple of days but they will not move...

not sure on the sex yet, the males are longer and thinner arent they? Yep got some plecowafers. yeah been cycling for a few weeks and all the tests came out really well. Nearly ended up with a little turtle tank though! Took my girlfriend and she had her heart set on these tiny little turtles...

Went to have a look in a aquarium shop i hadnt been to before today, and was shocked at how cheap everything was compared to the place i used to go! The woman recommended i get a plec on its own first so i went for a baby bristlenose, apparently theyre good algae eaters? Anyway heres the pics...

Thanks for the welcome guys. I now have the tank and have it filled etc but im not sure whats going on with the temperature. It was really really warm for a day or 2, like actually radiating heat. The heater has always been on lowest setting so it didnt blow up initially. Now it has definately...
