I'm in S11 & have a spare heater and airpump. Unsure of the power of the heater- I think 200ish watts, it has a +/- dial for temp adjustment.
£5 for the pair if you want them.
Hi everyone,
I have a tank for sale, comes with moulded plastic hood. The tank also has a glass cross-brace at the top.
Shall we say £25? Offers will be considered.
Tank can be collected from the S11 area of sheffield.
Cheers

HI again,
I have since picked up 5 turbos, a black LS urchin and some live rock, which has come with some life on it...
could this be the dreaded aiptasia?
im off for some turbe/nass snails tomorrow, only got 5 hermits at the mo.
anoyoe have any other reccomendations?
prob getting some more sand and lr too.
Have been looking for fish to plan ahead, rather keen on mandarins and flame anges or coral beauties
after a while of faffing around the skimmer is now looking like this...
certainly seems to be taking stuff out of the water! the bubbles at the top of the column are still 'white' and there is a semi aerosol effect going on...
i have now moved the filter and filter box and have moved some...
I have now added a decent skimmer to the set up, a v400 or something. when looking at the pics does it look like its running ok-ish?
Here are a few photos of the tank as of this evening:
i have also added a blue back ground.
I have just plumbed the skimmer in to check it works ok...
true, I think the best thing is to get some snails etc in it first, it has 5 hermits at the mo. I think what i'll have to do is to have a few looks at my lfs's and see what i like, I have been in a few times already!
To be truthful im not really keen on spending a fortune on corals- they look...
I have been looking around in the lfs and am quite taken by a selection of puffers they have, however this would significantly limit my other stocking i guess.
anyone got any reccomendations for a 'main fish'?
cheers
Cheers, I was unsure of the optimum level of Ca, I stopped testing at 300mg/ml (it was a drpwise test) so that level is somewhere between 300 and infinity! I will do an accurate test today.
these are the test results from just after i had picked the tank up, before i got to work on it:
nitrite = <0.1mg/ml
nitrate = 10mg/ml
ammonia = 0.0
Calcium = >300mg/ml
pH = 8.1-8.3
iron = 0.0
kH = >200
phosphate = 2.5mg/l
Any comments?
thanks for he compliments! only just started though!
yeah i did some tests- i will post the results later, did a full set of tests too!
i am undecided as to whether to go for a reef setup or live rock and fish. the big swinger is what fish i can have with which set up, does anyone know of a...
Hello all,
I recently bought the below tank off someone who happened to live around the corner (rio 180):
It was a bit of a mess, covered in all sorts of algae including bubble algae.
I have now had a bit of a clean out and this is the result:
There are at present a yellow tail...
I added a 1100gph powerhead this afternoom- soon got things moving! Have done a 75% water change, will do more when my RO kit arrives.
Did a full perameters test- will post details tomorrow
i shall be doind a fll clean tomorrow! i have just done a 70% water change and will clean the tank sides with a scraper tomorrow, will be picking up a test kit too
