Don't be hard on yourself. It isn't as easy as it looks. The more you Scape the better you become. I always prefer real feedback. Instead of people just being nice. This way you get better. That's my opinion anyway.

I personally think the rock pile is to centralised and no real coordination with the rock markings so the rocks look placed instead of a natural look. I don't want to sound to critical but it's what my eyes first see.

You can dip wood/rocks in very hot water for a few seconds. Kills algae instantly. I much prefer this method above anything else. It will kill plants if attached.
