Nitrites can hang around for some time when cycling they seem to take longer than ammon, to go to 0 in 12 hours when i cycled my tank my ammon went to 0 in 12 hours and was almost 2 months before nitrites did Good luck

WaterDrop what about adding Crushed Coral to the filter as i did and that really help mine from crashing all the time , in fact i still have use it

they are all new i just got them so i don't know i will keep a eye on them

Hi Waterdrop Yes i test weekly to keep track of everything and clean every 2 weeks. yup get better pics with lights out and just tank light on :)

ya it does for a taller tank :P the new one i have to fix the back, it dried in spots and does not look as good to me but i am loving the African Cichlids in this tank

ok here is the old tank and the new tank just finished cycling 3 days ago added 4 fish yesterday and they are doing good

thanks :nod: the bristelnose has been out in open since this morning ... my last one i never seen him at all , and the cories have been at top of tank swimming crazy since i added them they go top bottom fly to top (is this normal for them i thought they were bottom feeders)

not sure what else can go in with angels ? what can i add with them

hi guys happy to report all reading were ZERO again today today will be day 3 so if this keeps up i could have fishes saturday,i'll do a 90% change in the morning and get fish in the afternoon :good:

ok retest tap water ph 7.8 kh 3 drops retest tank 7.0 to 7.2 so close can't tell kh 4 drops did this one twice cause at 6 am was 3

this morning reading are good day 35 fishless day 73 all together ammonia 0 nitrites 0 nitrates 40+ ph 7.0 letting it come down now for the angels :good: kh 3 drops temp 30C added ammonia back to 4ppm
