Looks like the pale yellow balloon is a male....look at the fin near the rear...when it's like a dagger it's a male; females are more fan shaped. You'll notice a size difference when it's pregnant.

Thanks for the reply. I've taken her out of the breeding tank now but straight away the male is nose to arse chasing her around...surly if she is to give birth the male will just swallow them up as it never leaves her side? Also it looks quite stressful for her trying to escape the little...

I'd recommend Leopard/Zebra Danios, i got them when i first started with my 1st tank they're an excellent fish to watch they never stop moving, get a group of 6/7 & you're sorted! :good:

I bought a tank off my mate about 5 weeks ago, included was a plec, its about 6/7" Long, 2.5" Wide and when its back fin comes up tht looks about 2.5".... My Tank is 2 ft W x 1 ft x 1 ft H... He's eating enough i see his crap all over, he just seems to struggle a bit when trying to move...
