High Nitrates And Milky White Water

Do you think there will be much stress on them going from a hi nitrate tank, etc., to a clean tank? Think I should use one of the angels as a "test" and see how it does or just do the transfer and go from there?

High Nitrates And Milky White Water

I definitely agree that 12 in a 50g is stretching it. But right now thats all I can do. The 50g is merely a stop gap. I have a couple of 30s that are still cycling that I was thinking about putting 6 in each, but thats at least a week or more away so right now the 50g seems the best...

High Nitrates And Milky White Water

here is the situation. A neighbor has a 30g hi with 12 angels in it all bigger than a silver dollar. The ammonia is a little above zero and nitrates out the roof. This tank has been this way apparently for several weeks. The fish are all doing as well as can be expected(no deaths yet). She...

    Female Betta

    Synodontis Question

A friend of mine has a few what he calls Synodontis petricola. But they are almost jet black and are 5-6 ins. They're gorgeous cats but I can't find any pics of black petricola. There were 2 on aquabid referred to as mini-petricolas and were black...but max out at 3ins +/- and also called S...

    New Kid On The Block

I'll post some more pix. They're hard to photo cuz they're very skittish. The female is really shy. The lighting for the pic was a little dim so its easy enuff to not see the true coloring. He was in stealth mode so thats why he is so dark. But when you compare him to a plakat theres a bit...

    C. Rabauti

Ian....heres the response from the importer. Whatcha think? "Jim, No, the issue here was the weren't eating as well as I like when we release them. We have to have them eating a varied diet which can be problematic for many species as they all prefer and want live bloodworms over everything...

    C. Rabauti

Ian Thnx for the input. I got the rabs from a pretty reputable importer here in the states..not saying they can't make mistakes. I looked at the zygatus and truthfully can't see much difference, at least nothing that jumps out. Maybe its a region thing? In any case, I emailed them questions...

    Aquabid

Hi I have bought several fish including bettas thru aquabid. Have never had the 1st problem. I always look at how many feedbacks the seller has and what they say. I normally dont buy from anyone with less than 50 as a rule. But if the fish I am looking at is exceptional or one I just have...

Thought I would share a pix of one of my males of my three pairs of Mahachai. They're extremely shy and hard to get pics of. The male is barely 1.75 inches and the female a bit less. They're F1s and about 6 months old.
