I have used sticks in the past, my fish didn't really seem to like them. Hikari Cichlid Gold Pellets, they are one of the best staple diets for cichlids.

In a tank that size you should be fine with those fishes. IMO, that is probably the max. of the tank, because if you end up with males of all three species you are looking at 3 16 inch fish. All of these species are truly stunning, good luck with your tank.

i decided on rams for my dwarf breeding tank. i am going to be breeding them, so i am wondering how many and in what ratio of m/f should i get? the tank is a 29 gallon, planted, with sand, and rock structures. thanks in advance.

i wouldnt know for sure. my oscar has nearly doubled in size since i got him about 4 months ago. they usually are one of the fastest growing species, so i would assume he is full grown. i have never heard of a oscar that small though, that was full grown, but i can see it being possible.

i got mine at about 4 inches, and it took about a year and a few months to get full grown. i would say 18 to 24 months maybe on full development, but they can spawn when they are much smaller than their full size( around 4 inches or so)

IMO, firemouths would not work well at all with green terrors. Convicts would work with green terrors, as they are generally too small and fast for the terror to mess with. I dont know about convicts with firemouths i haven't ever had both at the same time, but i would say it could be...

the tube on the right is the intake tube. the one of the left is the output. had to take that piece off my fluval and fit it on because there was so much water coming out it was blowing sand everywhere :o :D

75 gallon. I was looking at submersibles, and i wasn't tryign to spend the money on the mag something pumps that were around the one hundred dollar range. i could do a non submersible pump and just put it inline with the sump i guess, do you know of any brands, and how much did your box cost?
