If you can get it try Bio Spira. It is a live culture and therefore it will be refrigerated. I have cycled many tanks and Bio Spira is the only product that cycles a tank in about 2 weeks. You may or may not be able to get it.

Hi people!! Does anyone have any experiences with the use of antibiotics that are easy on the biological filter? Sometimes the cure may be worse than the disease. I may want to treat my 90 gallon tank but am afraid of destroying the biological filtration. Any suggestions please?

I use RO/DI water mixed 50/50 with tap water. The RO/DI water is devoid of many electrolytes that the fish need. Namely Ca++ and Mg++. By mixing it with tap water I am putting back in the electrolytes. Over time pure RO/DI water will adversly affect the fish. Not good!! My RO/DI water...
