You're giving my pink coral a complex... I wasn't going to start trying to increase nitrate levels based on Musho's comments - don't panic! Thank you both for your help...*flees the forum*

    Nitrate In Water

Thanks Musho, Andy and everyone else who has contributed. It's obvious that Musho and Andy both have plenty of knowledge but perhaps chose to share it in slightly different ways. :D Reading all of it together gives me a wider understanding than I would have otherwise so please agree to differ...

    Nitrate In Water

 If I were to use distilled water only in the tank will that be removing anything else that the nano need, any minerals etc?

    Nitrate In Water

Don't scare me by talking in ppb! I assumed my live rock was doing the job with the nitrates and the little coral was utilising the teeniest amount of nitrate. I may just go on as I am for the time being then and see how the coral gets on...I'm very proud of it...it's proves I'm not a...

Blue Neon Dwarf Gouramis - Keep Dying !

Many Dwarf Gourami, colisa lalia, are currently carrying an iridovirus which is currently incurrable and kills them. Most in my area advise against buying them as the virus is now suspect to be mutating and affecting other fish. This could well be what you're seeing.

    My Injured Finger

You should get that shoulder checked out by a physio Cheesy Feet - the damage you could save yourself is well worth the annoyance!! I have a pretty good story for the mangled fingers collection... I was turning a horse out in the field at the time. He was always bad mannered and this day he...

Yes, I'm in Derbyshire! That would be awesome if you could send me some bits! I've got some decent live rock which has sprouted a little pink coral of its' own which I'm delighted at but as you say I don't want to buy larger corals and then find out they really don't like my tank...expensive and...

    Experimental Tank!

Hiya! I've decided the best way to see if I can cope with the salt water world is to try it so...I have a nano-tank set up happily since October. It's 3.5 UK gallons...well I did say small!!! It contains four kilos of live rock and about a centimetre depth of live sand. There are all sorts...

3.5 Uk Gallon Nano Reef Tank

Hi everybody! My first post... I've been setting up a 16 litre, 3.5 uk gallon reef tank. It has 4 kilos of live rock in it added over three weeks as I had the cash for it. It's looking great, lots of pretty coloured coraline algae, a couple of baby snails that are growing rapidly...
