    Pets At Home

Try this This is a list of all the stores in the north. Opening a specific store gives details of what services they offer, including whether or not they stock marine fish.

    Copper Treatment

Better off with a fresh water dip in my experience. Warm some water up to around tank temperature, place the butterfly in there for around 4 minutes, then return him to the QT tank. Wont notice any difference the same day, but should be massively clearer the next. If any persists to the third...

The Ten Most Common Nano Reefing Mistakes

Yeah, Rare Oceans were moving premises, but I believe some other aspects of life have intervened, and this plan may now be on hold for the forseeable future. They closed the old shop, then seemed to spend an age getting going on the new one, and I guess it could be a good long while yet. Can you...

    Yellow Watchman Goby

I have read that the colour of these gobies can be a reflection of water quality. Try testing some of the water the next time you buy something. This might be nonsense, but always made me feel a little better when I saw mine looking bright yellow.

    Large Angelfish

FYI, Bandits cost several hundred pounds, somewhere close to £1000 I think. And thats when you can actually find one in the Uk.

    Oh My God Wow

£130? Funny, TMC sell them for around £20 trade, so they should be £50 at most.

    Dimming Aqua Ray Leds

Apparently, this sort of equipment is something TMC is looking into releasing for their Aquabeams (the lights), as part of the Aquaray range (had to get that point in. People call the LED units Aquarays, but that is the name of the whole TMC lighting range. The LED units are called Aquabeams)...

Tropic Marin Pro Reef Sea Salt

Says on the box, 4kg does 32 US gallons/26 Imperial Gallons/120 litres. How much water are you trying to salt, then work it out from there.

    Well Thats A First

Are you TMC supplied? I know that they've seen a few (not many) Red Sea shipments in recent weeks after a few years (!!) of nothing. Not a massive variety, but the sort of stuff people really want. Out of curiousity, where do you work?

Do Harlequin Shrimp Need To Eat Sea Stars

Not entirely true. I have read that they also eat the feet off of cucumbers and urchins. Still, hardly practical. Oh, also, from what I've read, they only eat the feet, not the rest of the starfish. Might need someone with experience to clear this up.

    Id Please

It's a mushroom, more specifically, a Pacific furry mushroom. Not to my tastes, but still perfectly harmless.

    B&w Clown

I've read that wild caught Black and Whites are completely black an white with no orange, while tank raised ones have some orange on the nose. Maybe thats the reason. Dont know if it ever fades tho.

    Some Really Nice Fish

First one looks like a Conspicillatus Angel to me, especially given the price. Second one is a Clarion Angel. Both nice fish.

    Achillies Tang

The all black one wasn't a Zebrasoma Rostratum, was it? Linky A few Achillies turn up in the Uk from time to time, but I have heard that their survival rate in the marine hobby is somewhat lacking.

    Wow

Just a shame it turns into this Adult Clarion It's like the Boyles angel (Centropyge Boylei), super expensive, somewhat unimpressive.

Any Suggestions For A Small Compact Protein Skimmer?

Rambo, what price did you get it for? And where from?

    Gloves

I work with marines all day long, and rarely wear gloves. I think a lot of it is scaremongering. I've been at it over a year now, hands in and out of water all day long, with and without cuts, and I've never had a single cut become infected. Trust me, I get a lot of cuts. Doesn't sting when you...

A Trip To The Public Aquarium

First one is a Fuzzy Dwarf Lionfish. Gut feeling says that it is a small one, measuring around 1 inch. Second picture I would say is a Leafy Scorpionfish. Not a Frogfish simply based on body shape. As for the Clowns, judging by the banding on the sides, my guess would be A. Percula. Ocellaris...
