Long story short here. South American Puffers are one of the few freshwater species that can sometimes get along with tankmates. I've kept them with kribs, endlers, corydoras, dwarf puffers (yes, the species), rainbowfish, etc. I know the Shedd Aquarium keeps them with a species of catfish...
