    Mixing Different Species Of Snakeheads

Hi I was just wondering if you had a suitibly large tank(Several hundred gallons), could different species of the larger snakeheads he successfully mixed together or would World War 3 break out?? If the former is possible, I think it would be AWESOME!! Several different-color snakeheads...

    Stingray Shed It's Barb

Hi:) I currently picked up 2 stingray barbs while working part-time in a public aquarium. Currently they're in a platic bag. I thought about jut rinsing them, but should I boil them? Is that the way to do a complete disinfection?

    Ramps For Mudskippers

Hi I was wondering if it were possible to keep mudskippers in less specialized setups? Like a half filled, "normal" looking brackish water tank with stuff like big pieces of driftwood or those plastic turtle ramps made for turtles to bask on??

    Flowerhorn Genetics

Hi, I was wondering what the species of cichlids the ancestors of flowerhorns were? Also, breeding two of the same kind(Not species since flowerhorns are hybrids) of flowerhorn produces babies identical to the parents right? No further hybrids? Thanks:) I really like flowerhorns!

    Feeding Tiny Datniodes

Thanks Neale! So I guess weaning is possible, but not in the way I imagined. Oh well... By the way, do dats like freeze-dried krill?

    Feeding Tiny Datniodes

I've only seens them in pictures and videos; and I tell you, they're tiny! Their bodies have that slight transparency typical of young fish, and when they feed....I didn't know dats did that! Swarming! All I had ever seen was stalk! Their appeal is very powerful....But it would be...

    Feeding Tiny Datniodes

Thanks for the quick replies. The species are called "three-banded" which I don't know what exact species. But due to the fact the shop, and the people who buy them, keep them in freshwater with no ill-effects, I'm inclined to think one of the freshwater species:) And no, I haven't bought any...

    Feeding Tiny Datniodes

Recently there seems to be a population explosion of tiny(1~2inch) datniodes around here. I'm not sure what kind, but the reason is because they have bad barring, but that I don't care. They are healthy, and cute! However, I've always been hesistant to buy datniodes themselves because of their...

    Blue Acara Yawning?

Actually, MOST cichlids do this! It's pretty neat to watch, especially those with special jaws like the Malawi eyebiter, or the beforementioned geophagus. To strech it a bit, I've seen arowanas and polypterus do that too :hyper: I guess it's just one of their traits. Because every cichlid I've...

    Dwarf Neon Rainbows Mating

I used to have dwarf rainbow, and they bred in a very odd way. I had one huge male(Almost 2.5"!) and 3 females(Just like you!) Unfortunantly they were kept with mbuna(I didn't know better then) , with no plants, fake or alive. But sometimes, the male would color up spectacularily, and lead a...

    Single Species Tank

I once heard a convict fan from Cichlid-Forum who had two convicts tanks-one male and the other female. But one day a male got into the female tank. Both parties were happy:)

    Gold Severums And Rotkeils

Hi, I was wondering if gold severums and rotkeils can breed with each other, even in the presence of their own species? This would be unfortunate because although I like both species, the rotkeils cost 5 times+ the amount of golds(Oddly, golds are the only severums easily found here) Also, is...

http://blog.naver.com/zubat44z?Redirect=Log&logNo=140027956407 HI I came across this while seaching about monster fish, does anyone know about them? I think they look very similar to those brackish frogfish that sometimes are mentioned in this forum.....But they've been bred? I think they...

    Heckelii Breeding

I see. Thanks for the reply :) So what you need is: A large tank, suitible heckeliis, a buried huge pot, and some patience? WHen I get my tank, I'm really gonna try my hand at them.....THey're my favorite cichlid :hyper:

    Heckelii Breeding

Hi I wonder if anyone has bred acarichthys heckelii? I don't think rearing would be a problem, they're hardy...But inducing them to breed. I thought it would be nice if the extremely beatiful cichlids made more jewels like themselves :good: Any input will be appreciated

    Garra Breeding?

Hey, I was wondering if species of Garra can be bred. The species in question is known here(In Korea, but I'm ot sure if it's accurate) is "Garra ruffa" or the doctorfish. Actually, they say it isn't the real doctorfish(Banned import) but a false species that does just as well. I was wondering...

    Marbled Cray Mass Production

This is really getting out of hand. boboboy, you seem to be a very experienced fish keeper, yet I can't understand why you are taking this so personally and using language that makes others uncomfortable. Geez, since you're so persistant, I think i'll pass them on....thanks for the info

    Marbled Cray Mass Production

Geez, what if I change the question? How about keeping red crayfish(P.clarkii) or those pretty zebra(Lorenzi?) crayfish under the conditions I offered? Got anything to say about that?

    Marbled Cray Mass Production

In that case, I can have three stacks(Each shatck is 10, I have 31 in totoal) and still some space for other things. Thanks again! :)

    Marbled Cray Mass Production

Yup, amazing. And I'm fully aware of this species being possibly invading and dangerous. I'm careful with that. Also, thanks for the advice. Do you think this is enough for making "crayfish baracks"? 31 in total. I could satck them up by 3 2 1(Bottom to top) or 4 3 2 1, or 28. like in the...

    Marbled Cray Mass Production

Tank size is 90cm x 60cm(Floor space) x about 45cm. I'm guessing roughly around 45 gallons. Yeah.....perhaps external filters are better....But they are a bit expensive  Yup....So you agree that they breed at around six months....Then how long do you think is a typical "berry...

    Marbled Cray Mass Production

I know, and appreciate the amazing abilities of reproduction of these beautiful crayfish. But if I were to breed them crazily(Getting as many as possible), could this kind of setup be suitable? Feeding Kissing Gouramis

Wow....I didn't know that! My (very very long time ago) 15cm blue gourami male had trouble eating pellets, so I was wondering about kissers too. Their mouthparts don't seem to be very strong so.... Maybe when keep them, I'll get a group for competition. I guess that would be a bonus on food...

    Feeding Kissing Gouramis

Hey, I was wondering, what do you feeder your kissiers? Are their fairly delicate looking lippy mouths suitible for eating all kinds of foods, like the articles say? Actually I had a kisser once, but it died in a day, and had trouble eating pellets....:(

    Frozen Blood Worms And Bichirs

Is yours a senegal? Every single one of my senegals I've ever kept came to the surface for food within 1 week of getting it. So I guess making them a tiny git hungry could coax them to be more eager eaters? But if yours is not a senegal, I don't know....My particular experience was a very lazy...

    I Think It's A Cichlid?

I think you can keep a group of yellow labs in a 30 gallon? I read about it somewhere. But of course that's just about it. Only the labs. And TBH, based on my experience of them, I think it would be possible. PS: Yours looks great! Good color!:)

Normal Behavior For A Bichir Eel

My senegals would only be inactive when small(Around 2"), maybe because they are afraid of predators or aren't sure of their tank yet? But once they hit 4"......Zip zip zip!! Their activeness rivals pictus cats! Mine usually cuised at the surface. On the other scale, my old endlicheri was so...

    Bichir With Angels?

Every one of my old senegalus came up to the surface to feed when they were at least 3" long....Meaning almost instantly, of after a bit of growing. And they also did root around for food often and fairly accuratly on the bottom. I think senegalus could work:)

How Quick Would A Poly Endi Grow?

Very fast. My experience was a bit more than 1cm a week, quite fast. I may be wrong though, so long ago....But it did rival the growth rate of my old Boulngerochromis microlepis, which was 1.2cm per week!
