    Pimelodus Pictus, Any Owners

My experience with pictus cats is the same as Andy. I have 4 small cats, they have plenty of cover and have each found their own small section of tank they call their own. They will sometimes zip around and try to invade each others spots, which they will then fight on sight... their fighting...

    Oscars Eating Habits

I have those pellets for my pictus cats, but the O comes down and grabs them after they dissolve a bit any sprays the pellet all over the tank, they're woeful. If you're just feeding the O, try some Hikari Cichlid Gold.. you can get it in different pellet sizes, they wont be anywhere near as...

Just enter '72 inches * 24 inches * 24 inches in us gallons' and the answer will automagically appear. It's awesome for currency conversions...

    New To The Hobby

Yeah I know about doing a fish and fishless cycle (after getting fish). I have been monitoring the water everyday, and the filter I have is very large for this tank. So far I have noticed no nitrite and the nitrates haven't shifted from about 8-10ppm, so there probably isn't any bacteria growing...

    New To The Hobby

Cool thanks for that, you seem to be doing a bang up job helping us noobs out :) With regards to the pH and gH, I was thinking that the best solution to raise the gH would be adding some limestone, but I'm worried it will raise the pH too much because it's already a bit on the high side? I...

    New To The Hobby

Hi everyone! I recently bought myself a 36x14x18 40g tank which I have running at the moment. I'm pretty new to the tank owning world but I've done a lot of reading so far, and have been picking up a fair bit of info, but still a big noob. I really want to upgrade my tank size (hehe) and...
