That sounds good to me, Make sure you add the firefish and clown goby before the clownfish. Also I think margarita snails prefer lower temperatures so you might want to skip that one.

Well it's about time I update this... I spent a lot of my time this summer teaching my mom to take care of the tank, in preparation for when I left for college. She learned enough that I was confident that my fish would be in good hands... A week after I leave for college, hurricane irene goes...

Hi guys. :) Nearly a year ago I got some plants from my LFS and found that a fish had hitchhiked along with them. It looked like a small pleco or some kind of algae eater. It was obviously a bottom feeder, so i just tossed it in the tank (29g peaceful community) and forgot about it. Fast forward...

I've had them just as long as the other fish, though. The guppies were floating at the top. One of the gourami's was being eaten by the kuhli loaches, and I know they didn't kill it. Also the fish died during the day, and the UD catfish hardly move in the daytime. Actually I don't even see them...

No idea. The fish started dieing before the dosing... :unsure: The excel does seem to be working, but I don't know if the affected leaves are going to recover, even though the algae is gone. They're still kind of brown and semi-transparent... ...What's hydra? :unsure:

I've been adding flourish excel daily according to the directions on the bottle, until yesterday. I found a dead shrimp and another dead gourami. :unsure: So I skipped a day of dosing.

My emerald crab doesn't touch it. I haven't noticed my scarlet hermits eating it but I only have a few of those. Yeah I guess it's some sort of macro algae. I dont know lol.

20-30% Water change once a month. I know it should be less water more often but I've been busy. I'll try to do water changes more often. I'll test the water later tonight.

I've had this algae for months now.. Actually probably over a year and I can't stand it anymore lol :shout: It's everywhere. It breaks off in little pieces and gets stuck in the powerheads. My corals grow on the algae instead of on the rocks, and then the algae breaks off and the corals float...

Lol. Well 2 guppies have died. 1 died a few days ago and the second died today. Both were floating on the surface. All the other fish seem fine, but I'll test the water later today. :unsure:

I would love a tank with a colony of yellow headed jawfish. :D it doesn't really need to be that big, those are small fish, they just need surface area. A 36x36x18 would be great and that's about 100 gallons i think. Add in a school of anthias, and maybe a wrasse, and it's perfect.

If he always hides in one rock, maybe you could remove that rock, eel and all?

I don't know a lot about anemones, but I don't think it's supposed to be completely white like that. :unsure:

Try pointing a powerhead at the surface. It'll help remove CO2 and increase the pH.

My clownfish dug a ditch in the back/corner of the tank, and he used to bring about half of his food back there. He doesn't bring any food back there anymore, but he still keeps the ditch maintained. :rolleyes:

I don't get the hate for X & Y, imo it's a lot better than Viva La Vida (although I still like that too). And yeah I love Bloodbuzz Ohio, probably my favorite album so far this year, although I'm still eagerly awaiting Interpol and Flamingo (Brandon Flowers), and rumors of another Coldplay.
