the bottom of one stem of my brazilian pennywort is slimy -- like if you pinched it, it wouldn't be a healthy stem, it would be rotted. I'm guessing that's bad? Also, its the base stem for a major part of the plant ... can any of the rooted leaf notches be placed under the rocks to grow...

Yeah, it sounds like tetras might be the way to go. I also meant to ask, what about a female dwarf gourami? I'm not convinced, though, that any of these shops could for sure know which of their fish are females! grr!

I have a special fish-only bucket for water. If I put filtered water in there, then add the de-chlorinator, does the de-chlorinator need time to work, or can i just wait until the water has cooled off a bit then put it in? The package didn't really say. thanks! :hey:
