Unfortunately, I'm unable to isolate her, my hospital tank has a patient in it atm. But I used a bacterial/fungal/parasitic solution, that is safe for the rest of the fish in the tank. Will see how that goes...I hope she'll be alright, she's my favourite :-(

That's a great post Lynden, I do the same thing, my lfs is nice enough to give me the bacteria that's not sposed to be sold to customers. :lol: I've used the stuff every time I've started another tank up, and my cycle is complete within a couple of days max. No need to wait endless weeks...

Yep that makes perfect sense :good: . I once tried changing the ph levels over time of course to suit the africans, but they just couldn't handle it, the breeders that I got them from had bred their fish in neutral ph for 14 years, so I'm guessing that their fish over time just adapted to it...

Ok well I did some playing around with the camera settings and I think I've figured it out. Like before only the cooperative ones are in the pics, the rest are camera shy :lol: The pics are brighter and more fast moving, but because the ISO was on 400 it may look a lil grainy. Silver Scats...

That's the thing, the tank isn't cloudy :( , it's perfectly clear and bright :) , but for some reason no matter how much I fiddle with the cameras settings, I cannot get the pics to look like they should. I played with the focus, flash settings, turning the lights on and off, but it just won'...

I'd also add guppies to the list, like the neon tetras, I find they also die quite easily and are one of the less hardy fish around

Thanks all for replying. Funnily enough my yellows are nice and bright yellow, it's more my electric blues, loaches, blue acara and peacocks that are fading their colours. Will get some dark gravel and see how it goes. :nod: Cheers
