Eye Injury First..now Has Blister Looking Thing

Well during the infection, she could not see my finger, and she had a hard time getting food, because she couldn't see it out of that eye (she'd wait until the food floated over to the other side of her, so she could see it) But now that the infection has gone, she's back to normal, and...

Eye Injury First..now Has Blister Looking Thing

Hey Wilder, I haven't been on the comp for the last couple of days, so I didn't see your post. I've been using Melafix, and the eye has been shrinking back....the blister is now only a fifth of the size it was, and we're only day 3 of treatment. I'll continue with the Melafix, as she doesn't...

Eye Injury First..now Has Blister Looking Thing

The bully was frozen last night. The lfs didn't want him, and being in a regional city makes it hard to rehome as well. I've heard of some extra awesome stuff to use, so if this treatment doesn't work, I'll give this other stuff a go. Also from what info I've read up on, could it possibly be...

Eye Injury First..now Has Blister Looking Thing

Unfortunately, I'm unable to isolate her, my hospital tank has a patient in it atm. But I used a bacterial/fungal/parasitic solution, that is safe for the rest of the fish in the tank. Will see how that goes...I hope she'll be alright, she's my favourite :-(

Eye Injury First..now Has Blister Looking Thing

Okay, well my female Green Terror got into a bit of a barney and lost, amongst some small injuries, her eye was injured in the fight. At first it looked like it was cloudy after it happened, then in the course of 1 day, the eye now looks like it has a blister on it, which is whitish in colour. I...

    Female Green Terror

Okay here's another question..... the other night the male and female were shaking their heads at each other really fast, gill flaring, and then locked lips. Is that ritual of breeding for them??? The male is still young, I thought perhaps that she would wait til he's alot bigger.

    Mystery Fish Laid Eggs

I don't have any of those fish except the gouramis, and as you said they are bubblenesters. But my Green Terror will lay eggs all the time and I've only just chucked a male in with her. So I wouldn't worry about needing the other tank, as your eggs by the sounds of it aren't fertilised. If the...

    Female Green Terror

    Proper Introduction

Yeah Kevin Bloody Wilson is embellishing a lil bit. But I spose when he was living here, everything he sang about was right on the money, but Kalgoorlie itself is pretty good, it's just some of the people in it  Thanks Neal :) Definitely talking about the car, we have a 95 Ford EF...

[font=Arial][font=Arial][font=Arial] Yes definitely bigger, I just provided the link for picture purposes...the sizes next to the pictures are just to let customers know what sizes they have in stock, seeing as some people like to start with small or bigger if tankmates are a lil larger.

Nice looking additions there Sam :good: I use two filters as well, a 100 hang-on and a 1200lph internal, originally just had a 500lph internal on it's own in there, but the rabbit chewed through the cord  but kinda glad it did, coz now this particular tank is doing better than ever...

Hi Sabby, My Scats are currently in the 5ft, and will moving to the 6ft once it's setup and going good. But before they were in the 5ft they were in the 3ft. Luckily none of my fish including the scats have ever fought with each other. The scats are extremely playful and peaceful and like to...

    My Fishy Friends

Yep that makes perfect sense :good: . I once tried changing the ph levels over time of course to suit the africans, but they just couldn't handle it, the breeders that I got them from had bred their fish in neutral ph for 14 years, so I'm guessing that their fish over time just adapted to it...

Gravel Colours To Stop Fish Colours Fading To Blend In

Thanks all for replying. Funnily enough my yellows are nice and bright yellow, it's more my electric blues, loaches, blue acara and peacocks that are fading their colours. Will get some dark gravel and see how it goes. Cheers

Gravel Colours To Stop Fish Colours Fading To Blend In

Hey all, The stock i have is listed below and this is mainly in regards to my cichlids and loaches. A few people have told me, that certain shades/colours of gravel will actually fade the colour of your fish, because the fish try to blend in with it.......so my question is what gravel...

    Do You Use Tank Backgrounds?

None of my tanks have backgrounds, the one we have in the lounge room, is on a brick wall that divides the front entrance and lounge room, so people can view the fish as they first walk in the door, and then also once they're in the lounge room, I think it looks much better that way. The one...
