Thanks for all the help...the tank is actually over a year old,,just changed rooms from my roomate who didnt care about it to me!!! i actually have about 20 lbs of live rock in there ,,,the 2 lbs is in the refugium...everything seems to be doing fine in there,,,even thriving!!! i am just...

all i have in there right now is a blue damsel, cleaner shrimp, sexy shrimp, chili coral, fuzzy shrooms,star polyps, yellow gorgonian, clean up crew, and some ricordea(which are thriving)...my nitrates last week got as high as 60!!!! i did a 7 gallon water change...got them down to 15,,,seem to...

ok,,,no matter what i do i can not get my nitrates under 20ppm....frustrating the @#$% out of me!....i have a 24g dx nano with stock pump,purigen and chemipure in chamber 1(awaiting algone and seagel),,,a refugium with 1/4 pound of chaeto and 2 pounds live rock in chamber 2, and a maxijet 1200...

well they are starting to open now...thanks for the suggestions! guess they just needed some time!

i ordered them from seacrop.com so i am not sure what the salinity was. i just moved them up higher in the tank..it is funny,,the not bright colored ones opened right up but anything with bright color is kinda half open or completely closed....really getting frustrating Kenny

lighting is stock jbj naocube 24gdx,ph is at 8.2,nitrates at 5 ppm, 0 nitirtes,0 amonia, salinity is at 1.023...they are like trying to poke open but just dont,,it is the colorful ones only Kenny

Whats up everyone...so i bought some zoo frags and they arrived thursday. today it is friday night and they still havent really opened up...any suggestions? should i be worried? Kenny

wow,,i just spent 4 hours reading this topic!!! absolutely greatful for all the info...my 1 question is where did you get your quartz fuge light? i love the idea and am going to do it on mine!! thanks for all the great info!!! kenny
