    Yes. The name I was given for the "tankmates" was "Christmas chiclids" that have vertical black and white striping, similar to a frontosa, but a smaller fish. There is also a lone female zebra chiclid.

    I have even had 2 mouthfulls from them since this started happening. The first of the two batches was very pale, almost white, and the second was back to a nice bright yellow. Does anyone know why?
