Some more pictures of the older fry.
Biggest female, already pregnant?
And the male that I posted the other day what are your thoughts on his colour variation @emeraldking and do you still think he us a guppy endler hybrid?
Also is he partly endler just reminds he slightly of an endler, the female was definitely a guppy and was kept with a male guppy for a short period of time, but don't know what she was kept with before I purchased her.
If fish are dying there could be something wrong with your water parameters, if you put them on here Myers will be able to help regarding that. But in regards to your question I think the number of tetras you have should be fine but I would add more corys as the minimum recommended number is six.
I think there is about 15-20 they are difficult to count so not to sure exactly. At the moment there seems to ve plentiful food for them but will add extra food for them if needed. What food do you recommend if I have to do this?
I have baby shrimp! Unfortunately they are quite difficult to photograph.
For example thus kept happening...the guppy fry wanted to be the stars of the show, you can still just see the shrimp under the guppy.
Hello all,
I am looking at buying some plants online do they usually arrive in good condition when doing this and would it be cheaper then buying them from a local chainstore pet shop? Also what are some good online shops in Australia or preferably in Victoria?
When I first saw this thread I thought of the idea of a small densely planted tank with some cherry shrimp MD fishtanks does some cool designs you could use to inspire you
That isn't a platy but a golden mountain minnow. Unfortunately I don't know much about these species but in my opinion that is pregnant. Mountain minnows are an egg scattering species so if you want the fry to survive you will need java moss or another dense plant or spawning mops.
Awesome looking I agree with @Colin_T 's suggestions. But I am also wondering if your tank is a bit overstocked I belive the plecos will reach a size of 5 inches? Another member will be able to advise you better :)
Did you only just recently change the tank layout? Because if so it is possible that is why they are so skittish. If this the reason they should settle down in the next couple of weeks.
I found when I kept fish tanks in an area of the house not visited often it cause them to become more skittish when you first approach the tank. If this is the issue simply sitting and watching the tank after feeding them will get them used of your presence.
