I should have grabbed a photo before doing the pruning. All the plants were reaching to the water surface, and the ludwigia repens was so long it was wrapping around things. I'll grab a before and after next time I do a prune.

Actually, I take out my anger on them by crushing them as I find them, and the fish really enjoy the live (well now dead) treat! So it's not all bad! :D

So here's a quick update after a couple months. The plants have really taken off. They really like the CO2 and EI ferts. :) You wouldn't know it, but there are 20+ corydoras in there! As well as about 20 neon tetras. :) And about 1000 snails. :mad:

For me, #2 is my favorite, then #1, then #3.

Got some more driftwood, some bigger pieces. So I'll be rearranging things. :D Quick question. How deep is too deep with the sand? I made some little hills out of the sand, and in those areas it's 4-5" (10-12.5cm) deep. Do I need to worry about bad stuff growing in the sand where it's too deep...

Probably a big Amazon sword, some stem plant bunches in the background, some java fern on the wood, maybe some anubias nana on the rocks. I haven't decided what to put in the foreground. Open for suggestions!

I haven't really decided. A large school or two of small fish. :) Maybe neon tetras, galaxy rasboras, not sure. I have a while before I need to make up my mind. I will run it with plants only for a while, while the tank cycles.
