Hii my tank is 4 months old havent really had any issues cept for ammonia spike from over feeding but the last week i have had bout 10 shrimp die, ammonia was .50 but did water change, rechecked 4 hrs later but next morning a couple more shrimp died. Is it mormal for a shrimp to turn completely...

I was given a 40 gallon tank but it had lizards in it. I am wondering how to clean it up & possibly use as fish/shrimp tank or just buy new tank? What do i use to clean it with? any & all information welcome.. I'm getting back into the hobby been a long time bear with me...thank you
