    What type is this?

I can see them being either for that. Put a picture through google lens and it came up suggesting the lemon cichlid. Hard to say because they're actually more orange than yellow. I was thinking red zebra.

    What type is this?

Hello, Haven't posted in a while but I recently grabbed these little cichlids that were just labeled "assorted African cichlids". I've done a little research on what I think they may be, but if anyone knows 100% what type they are, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

    Discus Help!

Went ahead and printed out what you linked me so I can read it a bit later on. They're mostly getting Hikari Vibrabites (of course it says good for Discus on the back so I've been giving them that) with sometimes giving Seachem cichlid flakes. I took a video of him in his tank. You can see that...

    Discus Help!

Update. I have added in plenty of plants and floating plants as well as dimmed the light on the tank, checked the parameters. I'm still having issues with the one having a black rim around his outer fins. He is interested in food and he does explore the tank, often exploring outside of the...

    Discus Help!

The 60 has giant danios that are all over the place, catfish, dojo loach, young bichir, few rainbows, angels. Mostly fish that are moving around quite a bit which is why I didn't want to put then in there in the first place. The bichir isn't active enough to cause stress but I don't want him...

    Discus Help!

I've got a good handful of ferns and anubias that I plan on gluing down onto some rocks tomorrow that should give them a bit more coverage. I should only be a month or two at most before they're in a bigger tank. Just waiting on signing onto a lease for my business location and they'll have a...

    Discus Help!

Okay. I can dim that light easily and I have a ton of frogbit in all of my other tanks I can transfer over. I'll try that to start off. Hopefully with the water change, the added airation, and the shade will help him out.

    Discus Help!

I'm new to discus and I purchased two healthy looking ones, about 3.5-4" maybe 3 weeks ago or so. I've noticed one has started to show black around the edges of his fins and I read that it's a cause of stress or disease. Can anyone help me figure out how to help him out? I don't see any signs...

    Feeding Tiny Bichir

I got myself an inti-bity baby ornate bichir. He's only about 1-1.5 inches big. I'm having a bit of trouble with getting him to eat. Right now he's alone in a five gallon. I've been trying small pieces of frozen mysis shrimp. I've seen him eat it a bit before, but for the most part I just find...

    Keeping Bettas Warm

I've raised up a few already from my first attempt. Second attempt is going much better. Bunch of healthy fry. I learned I wasn't feeding the fry enough the first time around but things are going well now. I don't really find them all that complex. I understand how to condition and mate them and...

White stuff in my Axie tank?

Spoke with someone I know who is pretty knowledgeable and he said its just biofilm and there's no need to be alarmed. I cleaned out the surface stuff and most of the stuff on the mopani wood piece. Going to just keep an eye on it to see if it settles itself down and if it doesn't, I'll take more...

White stuff in my Axie tank?

Hello. I had this white stuff starting to grow on a piece of mopani wood and now it's starting to float at the surface. I did some researching but all I could find was where the white stuff was actually on the axolotls which said it was fungus. Neither of my axies have it on them, nor do the...

Vote Now! April 2022 Tank of the Month (17-30 US gallons)

This is my 20 gallon Axolotl tank. There are currently two baby axolotls in it, Mochi and Miso (seen in the bottom left). There are also a handful of minnows to add a little extra movement in the tank (aware that they could get eaten.) Plants are anacharis, bamboo, java fern, anubias. Planning...

    Please help! Axie ich?

I had to look up that high iridophore, but it does look a lot like it, especially with it being more splotchy that spotty. That makes me so relieved! Thank you for that information.

    Please help! Axie ich?

Yea, the side and the spots on his tail. I haven't done a water test yet because I noticed right before I had to go to work and I'm at work at the moment. But I do a 20-25% change every 1-3 days. It has a sponge filter and a hang on the back filter as well. Last water change was two days ago.

    Please help! Axie ich?

Hello, I'm still new to axolotls but it looks like one possibly has ich? I have two babies in a 20 gallon currently. Change the water quite often. Tank stays around 65-67. The other axie seems completely fine. Can anyone tell me if this is what he has and what's the safest way to cure it? Thanks!

Vote Now! March 2022 Pet of the Month featuring PET PALS

New video! 🎞️🎞️🎞️ CLICK ON VIDEO This is Mochi and Miso. Mochi, the pink one, is a leucistic axolotl, and Miso, the more yellowish green is a GFP (green florescent protein) axolotl, which causes him to glow under blue/black light. They currently share a 20 gallon long tank since they're...

Betta suddenly too busy building bubble nest to have an appetite

Wish I could help out more, but I just did my first betta breeding. They have already mated and the male is very preoccupied on the nest and doesn't want to eat. All I can really think of is that he is really focused on wanting to mate. Maybe it is possible he can sense them. That being said. I...

    Wholesalers?

I'm not quite sure where to post this or if it's okay to ask, but I figured I'd at least try. I've got some long term goals to open my own store. Currently, I'm just starting off breeding a few fish and will be selling online and possibly to LFS. I've done a little research and plan to do more...

    Driftwood

How about wood from trees? I have a very nice piece that came from a tree taken down in our yard that has just been sitting outside for a good 6 months at least. Keeping Bettas Warm

I may do that. Once I get the house, I can start showing off the area I'll be using and all the steps I'll be taking. I'd like to have a journal of the journey for myself as well. Thankfully I am currently self employed and get paid decently, so I have enough money coming in that it doesn't have...

    Keeping Bettas Warm

It really sucks at how they can be viewed as for just money. I love the small amount of breeding I've already done and love watching them grow and caring for them. I know of a store not too far from me that prices their bettas VERY high. I need to talk with them about if they would like to buy...

    Keeping Bettas Warm

Yea, I will be doing that. Big goals for 2022 with my business I want to open up. Just getting the feel for breeding now until I buy my house that will have a designated room (probably a garage that I can heat up) and have many more tanks to work with.
