Update- I changed water yesterday to get rid of melafix and added 1tsp salt dissolved. This morning her wound looks different and worse- see picture. It looks like her flesh has ballooned out into a growth. Any advice gratefully received. She can still swim but not really eating.

Thanks a lot. Really can't remember the name of the pleco....the shop had a lot and we chose the smallest (as in when it's fullsize). We bought the filter separately, it's external. First point of call will be to see if the shop will take any back I think. I'd love to keep them all in separate...

Ah we've been done! Thank you. I'll have a chat with my better half and we'll work out a plan. Pet shop said the pleco would grow to 10cm.

I'm not sure. He'll grow to about 10cm they said at the shop, he's about 4cm now. Greeny brown colouring with organge in his tail and fins.

The melafix is just in the hospital tank not the main one. Ah I was told 1cm per litre? Not true? Dwarf gouramis male.

Thank you, we were told this after getting them all and they said to observe- we haven't seen any aggression between the bettas and gouramis but maybe there has been at night.
