Thank you for you help! That’s funny I’m doing that type of water change.. half in the am and half in the pm. Makes it more manageable with less water to change and slowly acclimates him to the new water so I figured it was a good idea! His fins don’t look any better so I’m thinking I may start...

Thanks for your response! Its a 2.2 or 2.5 gallon I believe (gifted from a friend). It has a few live plants and floating plants, gravel, and a metal thermometer inside. I havent removed my filter, it just comes with pads and I ordered fresh ones to help with filtration. He's in there alone...
