Help! New Panda Cories Flashing on substrate

I will look at Lfs to see if they have any other medications. But for now what do you think I should do with the fish, the aquarium is still heated to 86 Fahrenheit should I turn the temp down? I do have aquarium salt but I’m not sure if that will do any good for them. Thanks for your help! 🙂

Help! New Panda Cories Flashing on substrate

Thanks, Byron does the heat essentially speed up the life cycle and also kill the ich at the same time within the 2 weeks? I'm just trying to understand exactly how this method works and what makes it effective against elliminating ich?

What are the best fish medications out right now to have on hand?

The only issue is that in case of an emergency if a fish does get sick in my aquarium and I have tried everything and I have to resort to medication because of me not having a car and being more busy with school and sports most of the time I would not be able to get the medications I need in...

What are the best fish medications out right now to have on hand?

I'm just wondering what are the best fish medications in your opinion's that everyone should have on hand no matter if your fish are sick or not. I am currently searching for a list of medications to add to my fish room that I will always have on hand no matter the situation. Also when...

Cycling tank slow now going backwards!

The dogwood could potentially cause ammonia when it decomposes. But should not cause the ammonia to spike to an extreme level. I would just say keep adding the same amount of ml of ammonia every time you add some to the aquarium. test 24 hours later to see what the levels are after you added...

Cycling tank slow now going backwards!

Is there anything in your aquarium currently like plants, substrate, decorations? My only guess is that there can be something else rotting in the aquarium that is also producing ammonia on top of the ammonia you are already adding to the aquarium.

Adding shrimp, but I made a big mistake...

It is worth a try. My only concern is the rocks potentially crushing the shrimp, Like if the shrimp are inside the bag and there is some sort of vibration that causes the rocks to move and potentially fall on the shrimp. I do not believe it well happen but it is a possibility. Other than that...

Adding shrimp, but I made a big mistake...

The best option is to make a separate tank for them. But If you're going to keep them in the tank with those fish your best bet is to get as much cover as possible in the aquarium for the shrimp so they have a fighting chance to survive if one of your fish starts to chase them. Some of them...

    Shrimp eggs or something else

I do not believe those are shrimp eggs, Most shrimp like Ammano shrimp carry their eggs under their stomachs, you will be able to see their eggs attached to them. It is possible for them to drop a few eggs but the amount of eggs they drop is minimal it is not an extreme amount like seen on your...

    Neocaridina failed molt, low KH?

To feed the spinach leaves. Boil hot water, add the spinach leaves to the boiling water for 5 mins so that it becomes soft enough for the shrimp to eat. Take it out let it cool for 5 mins, then add it to your tank, I believe they still float after being boiled so you will most likely have to...

Quarantine tank, what is the process?

The quarantine tank procedure I use is: When I add new fish to my quarantine tank I leave them in there for 1 full month, I do a water change every 3 days, and When I feed the fish I soak there food in garlic. I do this for the whole month If at any point during the time the fish are in...

    Neocaridina failed molt, low KH?

there is a chance you can cause more stress then needed to your shrimp and possibly kill more of them by trying to chase parameters since it can stress them out even more. A KH of 40 ppm is fine for Neo's my aquarium full of cherry shrimp has not had any failed molts and my Gh is 8 degrees and...

    LED light suggestions

I would recommend Fluval Aquasky it is good for low to medium light plants. Not high light plants. It has a programmable 24 hour light cycle, it has customizable colour spectrums, it has multiple weather effects, it is controlled by your phone using bluetooth and you will have to download the...

    Cycling invert tank?

I would just buy a dechlorinater bottle imo, not worth the hassle of waiting 24 hours and hoping all the chlorine is out, chlorine is not as toxic to invertebrates as it is to fish but it is still toxic. Most aquarium water conditioners that are safe for fish are safe for inverts also. it would...
