    I'd say they're about the size of Lincolns eyeball on the penny. I'll try to get some pictures asap. And after looking into the two creatures you suggested they may be, you seem to be right.

    3 (maybe 4) oscars would be fine in a tank about 60"Lx36"Wx24"H (200 gallons). Don't know about the peacocks though.
