True. I'll keep an eye on him with just two cories at first

Pleco vs Oto vs Algae Eater

I've heard plecos can produce a lot of waste, so I'm curious on what the differences are between them, otos, and algae eaters, especially waste product differences

    Betta and cories?

I currently do have a betta and some cories in seperate tanks, but I wanted to add a couple more fish to my betta's tank. I floated one of my bronze/green cories in the betta tank, and there was no aggressive behavior from either one of them yet

    Betta and cories?

Would I be able to put a male betta with some cories in a big enough tank? Nothing too flashy, just albino or green/bronze cories with one male betta

    3.5 gallon tank

Little smaller than a hamster or gerbil cage!

    3.5 gallon tank

Alrighty! I might go with blue, match the color scheme kinda. Red seems like it would clash.

    3.5 gallon tank

Wasn't sure where else to put this. I've had a 5.5 gallon established for a year now, and currently also have a betta in a 2 gallon tank. I have a 3.5 gallon tank set up (taller than it is long), but I'm unsure what would be best to put in it. I'd love some recommendations for what to put in it...

    Twintail Halfmoon

Noted, thanks! A mix of live and fake plants seems like it would work nicely for me. My only issue with fake plants is that many of them are folded up, and it's difficult to spread out the leaves to prevent fish from getting stuck

All noted! Would live plants be best, then? Also, does substrate really matter much? I've been finding mixed answers online.

    Corydoras

What would be the best size/gallon tank for 5 peppered, 5 juili, 5 green, and 5 albino cories?
  22. D

    Twintail Halfmoon

Alright, thanks so much! I thought 3 was okay, because so many people and sites have said that odd numbers are best, but thanks for the clarification!! Would a 20 gallon be able to hold 5 or 6?

    Corydoras

I adore cories, but I worry about how many can fit in a tank. I know that the 1 inch of fish per gallon rule is usually for beginners, and that overstocking can sometimes work just fine (example: 75 neon tetras in 75 gallons). How many cories is optimal, and what would be the best tank size?

    Twintail Halfmoon

Today, I finally moved my twintail halfmoon betta into a proper 2 gallon tank, with a filter and new decor! I adopted him from a friend, who had him in a half gallon tank. Now that he's got a bigger place, he seems so much happier, and has fewer stress lines! He even has a special cave where he...

    Hello!

I fully cycle all my tanks, and I get all water checked biweekly for nitrate and other chemicals! I moved him today, floated him for 20 minutes, and he's so much happier now! He spent the whole night exploring his new tank, and even made some bubbles! I'm so happy he finally has a proper tank...

    Hello!

I'm so happy to have found an active fish forum! My name is Klaus, and I currently own 3 tanks. Through trial, observation, error, and success, I've managed to keep my 5.5 gallon tank running smoothly. I'm currently finishing up school, and I've spent so much time meticulously watching my fish...
