What Fish Do You Regret Buying?

Giant danios- I was told they would be great in a community tank, but they just chased my other fish and would let anyone on the top 1/3 of the tank

I’ll probably also give less algae wafers and put in cucumber for my algae eaters instead

    Better way to clean sand?

I recently switched my 29 gal long to black sand (imagitarium) and I’ve been cleaning it with a regular siphone, but it’s pretty inefficient. The siphon doesn’t pick up all of the debris and it drains water too fast to get it clean, I’ve tried to stop the flow in order to slow the draining, but...

Dwarf puffer- is my tank suitable?

You might want to get other food just in case as they can be picky. Black worms are a good choice if they won’t take snails

Fish need schools, but I’m afraid of overstocking

How do I tell if they’re bonded? I got them as babies in February and haven’t seen any aggression between them or toward other fish, of course this may change as they get older, but I haven’t seen any problems with them, they seem pretty happy and peaceful right now

Fish need schools, but I’m afraid of overstocking

I was led to believe that I only need three of each schooling fish. I spoke to a couple of long time fish owners and they said that angels are fine for my tank. What should I do now? I won’t get any shrimp (unless there’s a way with plants and hiding places) but what should I do about the the...

    Sand bubbles

I’m in the process of switching the substrate in my tank and I noticed these bubbles forming on top of the sand. I know that gas bubbles in sand can be dangerous for fish, but are these okay? I tried stirring the sand a bit, but they won’t go away. More bubbles keep surfacing and they sit on top...

    Switching to sand questions

I’m planning to switch my substrate to black diamond blasting sand(medium grit), I’ve done all of the research and concluded that this would be the best option for my tank, but I have a few questions: 1. Would a 50 lb bag be enough for a 29 gal long tank? 2. How much sand should I plan on losing...
