Good Corydoras tankmates

So after a fishless cycle of 4 weeks I bought my first fish yesterday! Four False Julii Corys! They are gorgeous! My question is what are good tankmates that I could get to go in with them? It's a 14.8 gallon (56 litre tank).

Got the API Freshwater Master Kit today and these are the results. PH is 7.6, ammonia is 0.25ppm, nitrite are 0ppm, and nitrate is 10ppm. Second photo shows the high PH as 7.4. Am I doing good for a 2 week and 2 day fishless cycle? '] ']

Just found the Water Sprite I think although it has a different Latin name to the one you gave Byron? https://www.pro-shrimp.co.uk/aquarium-plants/2818-ceratopteris-thalictroides-tropica-water-sprite-5703249005106.html Would one plant do for the size of my tank? Or is it best to wait and try...

I definitely hope to have around ten S&P corys ;) and the four to six Sparkling Gouramis. I just need to wait to find out if the store can source them for me with their next order. It might even be months before I get them but I'd rather wait.

I actually have no idea. My Mum chucked out the labels by accident and haven't found them online yet. I think the feathery one at the back is water wisteria? Anubias grow huge though don't they?

'] Just a little update. I removed the plants from their pots and spongy coverings and planted them in the sand. I moved the bogwood to a better position (I think) and, I don't normally go for cutesy things, but I was at Pets at Home today and loved the heart ornament so had to get it...

Would four or five habrosus mix with four or five pygmeus or is it best to get all of one species? And would that be including four or five Gouramis?

OK thanks! Thinking a group of five or six pygmy corys and some Sparkling Gouramis will be enough for this tank and give me hours of delight watching them :)

I recently bought my first aquarium on Sunday and it's cycling in prep for my first fish in a few weeks time! I do have some plants already but was wondering if I should get more? OK Salt and Pepper Cory (Corydoras habrosus) is a definite. The one I really think would be best and the one I like most out of the pygmies. I'm heading towards getting Green Neon Tetras (Paracheirodon simulans) now instead of Black or possibly just Neons but will wait and see. And to add a bit...

I know I am restricted by the size of tank. Personally I would have got the other one but as my Mum was paying for it I went with her choice.
