    135 litre tank stocking

For my new 135 litre tank I was thinking of stocking: Green tiger barbs x 10 sparkling gourmai x 3 (from my dad's old tank) kuhli loaches x 10 harlequin rasbora x 10 Would this be okay? Any issues I should be wary about?

    Stocking suggestions:)

Thank you guys:) I have decided to set it up today, I've added tropica plant substrate for the plants, some eggcrate to protect the glass bottom from rocks, added Unipac limpopo black sand (I figured this may be good if I want fish that sift around in the bottom:)). I have added some rocks and...

    Thank for your advice.

    Sparkling gourami agression

There's one that is certainly female, 2 that are male and 1 that I can't decide (it's quite young so hard to tell) However the female is sometimes chasing away males, anyone know why that is? Perhaps the males want to mate but she does not? I will swap one of the males for a female soon as well.

    Sparkling gourami agression

I'm fairly certain I have their genders correct and I will try and do 1 male to 3 females. It'll be hard to see my fish go though. My tank is not big enough for more sparklers according to aqadvisor.com at least. I will ring up my LFS, thank you.

    Sparkling gourami agression

I decided to stock some sparkling gouramis in my tank and I think I got 1 female and 3 males. Anyways there is lots of fighting between the males they keep squabbling with each other and croacking and I'm already seeing some nipped fins. Should I go back to my LFS and replace some of the males...

    Stocking for new tank

OKive read some articles on how cherries can thrive in soft water but I think I'll need to supplement thier diet with cuttlefish bone or something to help them moult

    Stocking for new tank

Ah OK, I see. I'll probably not go for anchors then as they need well oxygenated water and my tank is quite like a cube so that doesn't allow much oxygen diffusion. If someone comes along with Cherry shrimp advice it would be good as I like the ottos and cherries idea but of they're not suited...

    Stocking for new tank

So there's sparkling gourami that I like and I've had a look at anchor catfish which also seem nice. I haven't seen anything on cherries though.

    Stocking for new tank

Thanks very much Byron. That was lots of information, nothing bad about that though, very informative and for now I think my options are shrimp (if they CAN do softwater ) and ottos, and second option would be some other nano fish and I'll have a look on some right now for soft acidic fish.

    Stocking for new tank

I like the look of bettas but would like to keep several fish, and I think bettas can be agressive but I definitely considered them, dwarf puffers as well not great with shrimp is what I saw I thought guppies were hardwater and I did consider them but my water is soft My pH is fairly neutral...
