"Hardness - Treated Water Average" is listed as 183 ppm by my city's provider. And I know most barbs/danios are hyper-active or semi-aggressive, but I was under the impression that Cherry Barbs were less so. Anyway, thank you both for the help!

Thanks! I've never measured hardness, but in general I think my area (Bay Area, CA) is pretty hard.
