Is my Mystery Snail sick? Stressed?

I've had a mystery snail a little over a month (and he's about the most fun creature in the aquarium). However, last night, I noticed he had a little kink toward the end of on of his longer tentacles. He seemed OK, but this morning he was not interested in his snailo and has been laying on his...

Thanks Heebath! He is doing great, so must not have gotten dried out. He's chowing down on an algae wafer right now. Sent from my LG-K540 using Tapatalk

    Blue Mystery Snail escaped!

My husband thought the snail would have now learned not to leave the tank. I explained that the snail doesn't really have a brain, so probably wouldn't pick up on that. Sorry my last post was a little confusing. [emoji39] Sent from my LG-K540 using Tapatalk

    Blue Mystery Snail escaped!

Good to know. Thanks! My husband said maybe he'd know he couldn't do that now. Yeah, his brain is just a cluster of nerves, so, um, not likely. lol Sent from my LG-K540 using Tapatalk

    Blue Mystery Snail escaped!

I added a Blue Mystery Snail to my tank a week ago and he was moving around a lot and seemed OK. For the last two nights it was nowhere to be found. I looked all around the tank and on the floor. No snail. This morning, there it was on the floor. His cover was closed and withdrawn into the...

do they roots need to be above substrate?

I have planted Anubs and Lacy Java fern in the substrate, then saw this conversation. lol. I did 50% water change and vacuumed the poop and gunk out of the rocks yesterday. I have a 10 gallon starter setup, so not much room to add objects to tie plants to. Can I just tie the plants to...

    Neon Tetra problem with balance?

One of the tetras started swimming on its side, hanging in the water pointing straight down, not schooling and has a squirming spell. Please let me know if you have any ideas what might be wrong. I put him in a jar floating in the tank to separate from the other fish, in case it's contagious...

    Teeny White Worm

Hahaha! I know. Freaked me out when I saw them! I haven't seen them again so maybe the fish ate them. They weren't on the glass, but I am keeping an eye out for them there. Thanks! Sent from my LG-K540 using Tapatalk

    Teeny White Worm

They must be planaria. I've only seen two of them right after adding fish or plants and think they could have been imported with them. I'm going to keep an eye out for them and will post a picture if I can get one. Thanks for the replies and suggestions! Sent from my LG-K540 using Tapatalk

    Teeny White Worm

Sorry, but no pictures. They were probably just under 1/4" long and remind me of an inchworm or mosquito larvae squirming through the water. They sink to the bottom and I couldn't get a photo. Sent from my LG-K540 using Tapatalk

    Teeny White Worm

I just set up my 10 gal tank and added some neon tetras and Cory cats. I have seen a little white worm twice, or there are two (or more) of them. Both times it was free floating and squirming frantically off and on. Any ideas what it is and if it's a problem? If it is a problem, i'd welcome...

    New (again) to Aquarium Fish

Hi everyone, We had fish when I was a kid, then again as an adult. I havent had an aquarium set up for 10 or so years and have forgotten nearly everything. I got a 10-gallon tank in December and slowly got it up and running. 5 neon tetras, 2 little catfish and a few live plants were added two...
