    Fresh Water Help!

So after the seven days we have waited longer on fish. Our pH is low so we added coral, but it still looks pretty low, should we add our new drift wood or not? :/ https://s5.postimg.org/vn10cfsnr/20160815_182146.jpg

    Fresh Water Help!

So it's been a week today since the ick/fungus. Now there is fuzzy white areas on one of the drift wood. The other has green/white fuzz. Is this cause we don't have an algea eater or no fish in the tank? I had a pic but it won't upload for some odd reason. But shall keep trying.

    Fresh Water Help!

Yeah we had taken water out when her last mean fish had died. We were down to just the two algea eaters. We had waited a week and a half before adding the new fish. As for good bacteria we do have a place in the filter where it grows, so I'm not sure if that helps any. I know it's patience to...

    Fresh Water Help!

Okay, since it didn't reach 86F we took out about 80% of the water, ran all the fake plants, and drift wood in 90F+ water plus scrubbed what may have been on them. Now we are boiling the rocks in hopes to kill what is on them, then putting them back in the tank tomorrow. Will this work? Or are...

    Fresh Water Help!

I used pliers to get the heater to 86, that was really stuck. So hopefully that will work better than bleaching everything..

    Fresh Water Help!

Sorry it's 37 gallons. I did a 3rd water change today and might do another half after tomorrow to help get all the salt out. With the heat at 86, would it be okay to put the fish nets that we used in as well? Along with the scrubbing sponges? That way we don't accidently have this again, or is...

    2 Guppies Dead

How big is the tank you have them all in? It could be there isn't enough room for the danios and could be killing off your fish to make room. But I can't really tell you.

    Fresh Water Help!

Update: We returned the fish and got our money back so they can treat them while we work on the tank. Since there are no fish in the tank and we did a 50% change of the water yesterday, and doing a 3rd of the water today. We bought two Pimafix solutions. One treats fungal infections and the...

    Fresh Water Help!

No it was like water bubbles all over before it had died. Also had dried spots on its body. The platys seem to have dots on them that look like salt..and one looks slimy. https://s5.postimg.org/f7u2ys2xj/20160724_194329.jpg https://s5.postimg.org/98ax8v7iv/20160724_194410.jpg...

    Fresh Water Help!

It all began three weeks ago after a mean fish had died. My mom cleaned her tank completely out to make sure the fish really had died of old age and let the tank settle for two weeks. On the third week we had gotten four mollies, five Platty, and four dwarf fish that have a hard name to spell...

Hello I am new to the forum. I have always grown up with fish, and quite enjoy them. I have a two year old daughter who loves to watch her grandma's fish swim while she eats at the table. I'm looking forward to learn more about fish, as I have mainly only done fresh water fish. My mom wasn't...
