Cool! I guess maybe she just likes to stay in one place? I'm thinking it might be a genetic thing if it's a problem, I'll just monitor her

She can easily stay in one spot near the bottom of the tank, just hovering there, so I guess she swims to the top, but without much effort

Yeah, it is. Did a fishless cycle. Yeah, we figured that, but we'll be prepared.

When I change water or put the net in, she dives down and doesn't seem to find it hard, but naturally floats back up to the top pretty easily. Like, she can stay down below but she just doesn't.

I'm so sorry about your guppy! :(   Mine doesn't have an arched back, and she isn't nippy with the others, she rather likes being around them. I guess all I can do is keep watching her.

Ammonia is very low, if not nonexistent.   Nitrate - 20 Nitrite - 0 pH - 6.5 KH - 40 GH - 60   Tank has been set up and running for 2/3 weeks, did a 30% water change this morning, and it's only the three guppies on their own right now. Tank is 15G too.

Okay, so we went to the store today to check out the fish they have and we liked the balloon mollys, cardinal tetras and bronze corydoras! Do you think we could get any of these fish, and how many?   Thanks for the advice too!

I've read that 3 panda corys, 6 neon tetras and 2 dwarf gouramis would be an ideal first mixed tank but I'm not too sure.

Probably viewing pretty close to it mostly, I like the look of neon tetras, they're super pretty. I want around 6 fish because I have 5 roommates and I want them to each name one! But yeah, I'd like a mixture of fish if possible - I quite like snails, bottom feeders, shrimp, etc too!
