I have 2 blue gaurami & 2 gold gaurami. The largest of my blue has gotten an orange-reddish spot close to its body and rear fin. Is this fin rot or something else? I have a 55 gal. tank and do routine changes every 2 weeks. filters, 2 weeks later water and vac, 2 weeks later filters again...

I think a sign of ick is white spots and rubbing. None of my fish have white spots but a lot of them are rubbing on the gravel or anything else that they can come in contact with. What else makes the fish rub?

I just had a gold mollie give birth. she was preg when I bought her. Put her in a breeding net. the fry are no bigger then a sharpened pencil.

they are so tiny how small should I crush the flakes & does it matter what type of flakes I crush. I have several different types of flakes

my gold mollie fry were born 3/14/05 in a net. on 3/21 I put them in a filtered 10 gal. graveled tank., the tank has a couple of small fake plants, and live floating plants. I have been feeding them a powered food for newborn fry. How long do I continue feeding them this & what do I feed...

:fish: fry..I moved my fry into a 10 gal. tank 3 days ago..so far they seem to be doing fine. It has live floating plants,filter light & some small plastic plants

I really like the new tank set-up....how many tanks do you have? the pics did not look like the reset-up tank.. are they gold mollies in the picks? sort of look like the ones i got at LFS.

I can not answer most of your ?,,but I have been told the tank temp should be kept at about 71-72 degrees and you need alot of hiding placing for the fry- such as dence live plants or anything that the fry can hide in. :unsure: :unsure:

This ? is in regard to my netted fry. If I have to keep them in the breeder net for a couple of months, how do I clean the net? There are about 20 + fry and the net is not very big, also how many of the fry can I keep in such a small net? :/

I am not positive but I have been told that when fish rub againt the gravel or any other things in your tank., It is a sign of ick, check with your local fish store or hI hope you get a better response from someone else in the forum -_-
