Thank you again. I believe it was bacteria. It's cleared up now along with the 'cloudy' appearance of my water and my fish enjoyed trying to eat it. I've also noticed that when I feed my fish frozen food, they seem to enjoy it more because it sinks and they have to go chase it.

The water did look a bit cloudy too. It seems to have all cleared  up now though and my fish are actively nibbling on the plants, so there's probably bacteria growing now.

Ah. Okay, that would make sense then. I do have a filter and yes it agitates the water, but since I did a water change, the water level is higher than it used to be so it doesn't do it as much.   My fish seem to enjoy trying to eat it, and the oxygen bubbles that float up to the top get caught...

Yes, I cycled it for about two weeks without fish.   As for my tap, last I checked, it was only about 4 because we live in an environment that regulates Nitrate levels.   And no, no live plants yet. I was told the tank should be established for a few months beforehand.
