hey guys my 40 gal looks a little cloudy today. is that normal in the cycleing process ? ron

thanks guys i ordered 2 pieces of wood from fosters&smith this morning. my 10 gal has 2 blue (3 spot ) gourami 1 snail and 1 clown ( dwarf ) pleco. i do plan on putting the two 3 spots in the 40 gal tank. ron

thanks guys no not overstocked in the 10 gal.the 40 gal is cycling so no fish there. i put a piece of cucumber in and turned the light out and about 30 min later he had a go at it. ron

thanks that probably the best thing to do. im really not sure where they came from or where they've been. i guess the boiling things is an old habbit that came from helping people who could'nt keep fish alive in an aquarium. ron

thanks i agree with sterilizing i dont put anything in without doing it.if thats the wrong thing to do i wont add them i'll try to find some food with wood in it. ron

thanks will do.i may not have had this in my tank.i was cleaning it and another piece of wood ive had and it floats so i will have to add some weight if i put it in my aquarium.i found another piece thats much darker and heavier. i'll post a pic after i get it cleaned up. ron

thanks the under side or bottom looks charred or burnt. will that matter ?

hey guys knowing that i took the filter out of my 10 gal and put inside my 40 gal canister filter,did a couple 3 gal water changes on the 10 gal and added it to my 40 gal.should i start checking the water yet,and if so what numbers do i look for ? or maby do a couple more 3 gal water changes ? ron

thanks its a 40 gal breeder. 36''w 18''w 17''h not very small fish. i loved the oscar. im guessing the water is a little on the hard side. it also has a high ph . ron
