    30l tank

alright as said before the first step is to cycle the tank, then we can start looking at stocking, what are your water parameters, Gh Kh and that sort of thing, this is crucial for us to be able to give you the best advice on what fish will be ideal for your tank, will the tank be planted? what...

Is your dream a fishroom of breeder tanks or exhibition tanks?

definitely a room full of show tanks, been there with the breeding stuff, doesn't look nearly as pretty, also that indoor pond idea is brilliant, i can just picture a slow flowing river with angels and cories, maybe a few tetra of some kind, loads of plants on the outside, moss, small reed type...

The curse of the short arm

well kinda, i used to have tanks stacked 3 high when i was breading fish, the top ones you needed a ladder to see the substrate, the bottom ones were almost on the floor. absolute nightmare. i definitely dont recommend. its not fun after a while.

The curse of the short arm

im not short as such but my big tank is pretty high up, the top is almost eye level and the thing is half a metre deep. i learned a few things about cleaning it very quickly, no clothes = no wet clothes, swimming shorts work best, place a towl on the floor in front of the tank, stand on the lid...

Corydora Breeding Help - What am I doing wrong?

when i bread cories (bronze) i would remove the adult fish rather than move the eggs, the fry are extremely sensitive to everything, it is best to feed them live shrimp that are about a day old (they die when they get into the fresh water), light just makes it annoyingly worse so have them in a...

Fish that decimate all. With a catch.

Its not completely dark. There is about 10 %light for about an hour or so around feeding. I found it worked better for the cories. Aswell as the angel fish fry Sent from my SM-A305F using Tapatalk

Fish that decimate all. With a catch.

It could be caused by the constant almost total darkness that the breeding system had. Maybe lack of light for a couple of 100 generations. Sent from my SM-A305F using Tapatalk

Fish that decimate all. With a catch.

So I've been told. I know about the ramshorns. I've had them for many years they came with when I bought my 20 or so breeding tanks. I simply skipped them out of my other tank. Initially they were white. But then when I added a log with a lot of tannins they went a brilliant red. Sent from...

Will go have a look at them. Also pepper cories require a lot more space than 7 gal. And at least a school of 6 preferable 10 or more. Sent from my SM-A305F using Tapatalk

Fish that decimate all. With a catch.

Oh is should probably add. It doesn't have to be fish. There is land in the tank(not to much but there is) so frogs and crabs are an option. Also it doesn't have to be heated. Sent from my SM-A305F using Tapatalk

Fish that decimate all. With a catch.

I'll send a pic once the water is all clear. All the sticks have sunk. And plants are in place. I don't want the focus to be on the fish. The fish must be there to eat algae and slime and produce waste for the garden. And yes I should probably have mentioned that I'm not a huge fan of Bettas...

Fish that decimate all. With a catch.

Right to I know I haven't been on here in a while. And I shelved the shrimps in my 10 gallon tank. Partly due to studies. Partly due to the fact that the tank sits on the sun and I had a huge algae problem. So the tank stood for a long time empty. But what I've done now is set it up with a...

When to move the Fry to a smaller separate fish tank

I'm really glad you asked. And it basically boils down to the fact that there are the wrong selection of fish in the tank. So the tolerances for some of the fish will always be out. Take for example the gold fish like much colder water than most tetra. So. In by compensating for the temperature...

When to move the Fry to a smaller separate fish tank
