well just waiting for the tank to finish cycling tested it and got    amonia 0 nitrite 0.1 nitrate 50 ph 8.3 kh 10.2 alk 3.65 phos 0.1 havent bothered testing cal and mag and i will bring the kh down after the cycle has finished

yer that looks pretty good my tank will be a mixed reef will most likely put a pair of percular clowns to start off with and will also put a coral beauty and a chromis and a bicolor blenny only want a few fish and lots of corals

bit of an update tank is now running sand and salt water in and 3 big bits of white rock to keep the ph up and there return pump skimmer and live rock in the sump and changed the design of the sump

hey all this is my 4ft that will be a fish only tank still need to get skimmer heater light and return pum and live rock for the sump

well both clowns and the puffer and the damsel died had an out breake of white spot so re started the tank using live sand and natural sea water and once everything was right ive put 2 white and orange oc clowns and one black and white oc clown and 3 naz snails

the tank finished cycling so got 2 clown fish blue spotted puffer fish and a blue damsel

na not putting anything in till the water is right just checked the water and I got nitrate is 10 nitrite is 5 ammonia is .25 ph is 8 is that right so im guessing that's cycling at the moment

putting 2 clownfish and 2 royal dotty back and a few shrimp

hey everyone finally got my 2ft marine tank up and running theres about 6 kg of live rock and coral sand and hang on the back skimmer and hang on canister filter il let it run for a few weeks before I put fish in

got a question should I run a protein skimmer and external filter or just a skimmer and what lighting should I use

ok ended up getting a 2ft x12 x12 tank and stand its got coral sand but my need more as I don't think there is enough still need to get light heater protein skimmer more coral sand live rock and ro water or should I get pre mixed salt water
