My tap water is about 7.8.  I just have a medium/fine natural gravel and plants in there. And a resin ornament thing. If I leave it how it is will I be able to add other community fish? Also you do mean driftwood from a LFS don't you? Maybe I will get some next time I go in.

Hey my Mickey Mouse Platy is just giving birth and I was totally unprepared for it!! I have her in a 125L tank with 3 other fish. Just tested water on Saturday and all perfect :)  What do I need to do to keep fry alive - they are currently being devoured as soon as they are born poor little...

The Molly didn't make it (it was a female)  I went to another shop and they tested the water and it was high in the ammonia dept. I have been doing 20% water change daily since I posted and will be getting it tested 2moro when I go into town. All the other fish still alive and swimming round...

Cool, I used to have the most beautiful silver Koi, love them :) I'm into the live-bearing fish at the moment - if I can get my stupid water sorted out lol!!

Do you think I should do another water change tomorrow? How much water could I safely change without stuffing up the good bacteria in the tank??!!! AARRGGHH!!

The other fish seem to be fine at the moment. I have 3 red mickey mouse platys that all have reddish gills but it could be the colour they are I can't remember looking at them and noticing that change so not sure - they are all acting fine ( except the stupid woman in the shop gave me 2 males...

Looks totally normal, not bloated or pregnant looking, scales look normal too. Its been about 5hrs since I did water change and fish still doing the same thing.
