Hey guys,   Thank you for all the input.    I like Sunrise, though. I shall call him Sunrise from now on.             Oh, I have already moved it to a bigger tank and he has a much bigger space of his own now.

Could it be the environment?   I have always seen bettas lying lifeless when they are on the shelves for sale.   But in fact, they are not dead.

I doubt because I went to a pet store the other and I saw something similar. It was labelled 'female' and it has long fins.    For a second, I thought it would be a great breeder but I ended up not buying.    I am still not too sure, though.

Firstly, welcome to the forum.   Secondly, I am so sorry for your loss.    I think it is perfectly normal once in a long while?   My friend who owns a pet store told me that sometimes the whole aquarium will be infected and caused all the fish died.   Maybe you can tell us a little bit more...
