I've currently got 3 Neon Tetras but would like to get more as I'm aware they're more comfortable in groups of 6+. I'd like a bit of variety however. If I got 3 Glowlight Tetras and 3 X-ray or Black Tetras, would there be any chance that they would school?

I've found that the Fluval Edge runs perfectly fine with the water level about 1-2cm below the glass top, leaving plenty of surface area. Everytime I've filled it above the glass top my fish are constantly at the surface for air and there is always a huge bubble at the top of the front half.

I had one turn up with some live plants about 6 weeks ago. He hasn't multiplied though. I like him, he moves quickly and along with my horned snails they manage to keep the algae to a minimum!

I was wondering whether there are any Shrimp that can be kept in a coldwater tank, with Goldfish? The reason I ask is that PetsAtHome seem to advertise certain Shrimp as 'temperate' and suitable to be kept with Goldfish. Is this right? I've not seen any other Aquatic stores advertise Shrimp for...

Where could they have come from? I don't know what to do with them! Everytime I do a water change, loads of them get sucked up the gravel vac. I don't want to just dump them in the garden in case they die, so I always catch them out of the bucket and put them back in to the tank.

Well they're still there, there's loads, must be well over 100. They're still very small and they seem flat. I've no idea what they are. However I do have two larger snails growing that looks very much like my Nerites..

As if 16 baby Molly's wasn't enough, my tank is now inundated with loads (and I mean loads) of baby snails!   A couple of weeks ago I bought four Horned Nerite Snails. Over the last week or so loads of baby snails have started to appear in the tank, there's so many! What on earth do I do with...

Just an update. I ended up with 14 babies - 2 black and the rest are a silvery colour. The silver ones being a little big bigger than the black.   I'm now down to 12, unfortunately I lost two - a black one and a silver one. Not due to other fish, but due to them somehow bypassing the pre-filter...

Thanks. I've got two Mollys - one is white with black spots, the other is a mix of gold and black.   Oh and I now have two black baby Mollys! I expect there are more to come..

Thanks - I've been watching them for quite a while and the bigger fish don't seem at all interested. I'm going to see how it goes.   Any idea why one of them is black, and doesn't swim around in a group like the others?

Mollys they are then! Are they likely to be eaten by the adult Mollys or adult Tetras?

I've had a good look at them and they look more like the Tetras, their bodies are clear and the shape looks more like that of a Tetra, but then I don't really know!   I've just counted.. 13!! There is also one that is black, and not clear at all.   I don't have another tank for them to go in...
