not sure if the algae is eating the silicone on the front corners of my 55g or are taking advantage of a excisting problem. any one ever heard of this before and can i clean it off safely or do I have to reseal?

started epsom salt bath today, and have seen a little improvement already. :good: i hope this works!

Im not sure what is wrong with my new betta..out of all the bettas ive had over the years ive never come across this problem. the poor guy just cant swim. he is laying on bottom of 2.5 gallon tank, under his heater.( i think its an elite mini, one of those flat heaters) all my bettas have...

the magic eraser works great on water stains, my fb toads live in a 10 g with gravel bottom drift wood and an internal filter with carbon added to it, i have used the eraser for a couple of months removing water stains when a water change is done, have seen no bad effects

am useing a magic erasure to clean obove the water line on my fire bellied toad tank to remove mineral stains never had a problem but am not sure if safe.would like to use it to remove some real stubborn algae on the glass in my 55g. anyone know about it

i believe that blue green algae is actually a bacteria, not a real "algae"....had it really bad one time and tried everything...in the end had to treat it with mardel tetracycline, worked awesome....

i once had a hair algae problem, but since have kept it controlled with a dwarf gourami....he just nibbles on it all day...

bloodworm....and they LOVE those pest snails that infest tanks, always ask petstore for small ones...

is there any way to discourage cats from jumping onto my fish tanks? ive tried double sided sticky tape...he just steps around it.......

this toad loves to stick to side of glass...even have to hand feed some of them...

i now keep my bettas in tanks with filters...two bettas share a divided, filtered, heated tank..and one betta has filtered 2.5 gallon...even when i kept them in unfiltered bowls, they never stunk...but also did water changes every 4-5 days...

the little blue things on sand is just aquarium gravel....substrate is playground sand with laterite for the plants...c02 machine...and lighting is 2 18 inch power glow 15 watts each and 2 48 inch power glow at 40 watts each....

co2 is the answer here......i acually had my sword propogate once.....

my 4 inch rainbow shark lives alone in heavily filtered 20 gallon tank, water conditions are all fine and tank is heated at 76f........the problem is ive noticed a couple of white patches on his body.......they dont seem to be fuzzy, and arent indents either..he seems otherwise healthy. is it...

i have 20 gallon tank set up with a semi agressive rainbow shark. would love to add cichlid, but not sure where to start.......is it possible with this tank size, and tank mate? do cichlids like to be in pairs, or can house single? any suggestions? cant wait to hear them!

how does everyone feel about housing 3 adfs and 2 bettas in a divided 2.5 gallon long( the divider doesnt quite reach the bottom so the frogs can go from side to side) and its filtered and heated too.

i just moved two of my bettas into divided 5 gallon tank....they cant seem to stop flaring at each other! its only been a few days, will they get used to seeing each other? i staggered two plants on the divider hoping they wouldnt see each other as easily, but thats not working. suggestions please!

another loss today....no more neons and now a zebra danio has bit the bullet.....water tests are still good, been trying the pea and daphnia thing with no luck.........what should i do now, its very sad to see dead fish everyday....
