Seachem Prime sounds great. If I were to switch water conditioners, is there a specific way of going about it? Like do you have to o 50% old 50% new? Or do you just go all new?

No, the tank is cycled, the sponge filter is there temporarily, until the good bacteria grows on it and I can transfer it to a different tank and make cycling that one easier.
