just tested it, and it's at 40ppm....the tank just finished cycling yesterday....i thought the nitrate would be >250 ppm....but it's only at 40.....is that normal? I did have fish while cycling...could that affect it?

i'm cycling with several fish and it's....stuck....the levels haven't moved in about 2 weeks..... .5 ppm ammonia and >8.0 ppm (off the scale) nitrite. Ph is holding at a little over 7 and all the fish seem fine....but it's not moving...is there anything i can do to speed it up some more?????

i got it at lowes.....its playground sand....and it seems to be helping speed up the cycle...as the next day, my ammonia is now 0....(nitrites are high yet, but it's getting there)
