    i've got eggs again!

Never had pleco fry, but I would move them as eggs. They should still be stuck on the pipe, once free swimmers as soon as you shift the pipe they will fall out. For any spawns you wish to save you could just start the pair in the 10g and keep them there till the fry come out of the pipe. I...

Why do Sterbai Corydora's cost so much?

You could decapsulate brine shrimp eggs and feed small amounts to them till they accept the pellets. You put some water in a cup, add the shrimp eggs and and airstone. Run this for an hour or so, then add some bleach (about 1/8 of the amount of water you have) and run with the airstone for...

Why do Sterbai Corydora's cost so much?

Most likely not the cory cats as they don't lay eggs all in the same place and often the eggs are much lower in the tank. It would have to be the upsidedown cats. I would wait till they hit wiggler stage.....you will see tails moving, then remove the eggs to a 5 or 10g tank with an airstone...

    Breeding Rams

I have never raised blue rams, but from some other forums as far as I can tell the best first foods are microworms. If you have real plants in the tank there may also be infusoria in the tank....tiny microscopic creatures they can eat. I would stay away from the liquid fish food as it dirties...

How long do you leave the sinking wafer in?

Many bottom feeders come out at night and eat. I would put it in before lights out and if it is not eaten in the morning take it out. You can break the wafter in half and feed 1/2 in the morning...if it is not eaten by night don't feed anymore till the next day.

    pleco

In the end your common pleco can get huge.....I mean 10-12". Even a 20g tank will not hold it in the end. My brother had a huge one and it would eat a whole head of romaine lettuce in a few days.

    Evil Plec

:o Common pleco get very large...some 10 inches or more. They have been know to attach to fish and destroy their slime coat. They can kill tank mates  O swotched to Bristle nosed pleco as they don't even go after young angel fry.

    A. cacatuoides - Do I have eggs?

I just got 3 this past weekend, but they are tiny. (it was an auction not a store) I still can't tell if I have all females or not. :( Hope there is 1 male and 2 females. One does look a bit different, but not much and the fins on all are short right now. At some point I would...

    price question

If the gold spotted ones were gold nugget they that is a great price...I am not sure of the prices as I haven't gone to the stores for them. I just got 5 spotted BN at a local auction for $17. One is very tiny, the others about the smallest you see in stores. You could call around to some...

    Odd coloured Bristlenose..

I just got some spotted BN pleco. The spots on the fins of yours are all over mine, but their bodies are a lighter colour than yours. Yours must have a gene somewhere way back for spotted.

    Angel fry dying

Congrats on the angel eggs! gto_cowgirl has the right steps. All you need is a small tank, heater and airstone for the first week. Once they become free swimmers (day 7 from day layed) you will need micorworms or fresh bbs. At that point if you use meth blue it should be out of the tank and...
